In 2014, I found myself unemployed and lost. I had just got my first mortgage, and my wife was expecting. I was on Universal Credit, and I had to watch my wife work incredibly hard to pay all the bills. I told her I would make it right, that I was going to write a book and change the care system for children and young people. She believed in me. I was hungry and passionate. I made this my life, I became obsessed, I still am. I have been very lucky to write two books on something that is very personal to me and, in doing so, change the lives of many young people like me leaving the care system. #NeverGiveUp #changeiscoming Happy New Year. At Thorntree Academy, we have introduced Family Walking Days in which the school arranges transport for families to experience a day in the fresh air. Often this is at a place some of the children have yet to visit. #FutureYou #FamilyFirst
