Ibn Taymīyyah رحمه الله stated: In the same way that a person can close his eyes and see nothing even though he is not blind, likewise if one’s heart is covered with the rust of sins he will not be able to see the truth even though

Shaykh ʿAbd al-Salām al-Shuwayʿir said: “Therefore, if either spouse fails to fulfill their contractual obligations without a valid excuse, it is permissible for the other to withhold the performance of the corresponding duties obligated upon them.

“And the Muslims have agreed that He (صَلَّی اللہُ علیہ وسلم) is the greatest of creation in status before Allah. No creature has a status greater than his before Allah, nor is there any intercession greater than his intercession”

but he would only be rewarded partially for it, and would not be rewarded for fasting the whole day -shaykh Ahmad al quaymi in his explanation of dalil al talib

According to the hanbali madhab, the voluntary fasts which have been emphasized in the sunnah(such as fasting ashura) or ones that haven’t, would be accepted even if one does not intend to fast for it the night before,

5) As for the one curses the companions out of worship, this is a bid’ah mukaffirah, in which the layperson is ruled as a Fasiq, whereas their Mujtahidin who’s a caller to this bid’ah is a Kafir.

No scholar can match your insight and persuasion against those Greek philosophers. Who will solve the doubts after you? Who will clarify the issues that were beyond the comprehension of the weak minded? Who will suppress the opponents who argues against the true religion due to their deviant beliefs? Who will show kindness and respect to the stranger after you? with a welcoming face and the grace of shyness? The stranger has been lost since your departure and cannot find any support in the open desert. You are the most knowledgeable about Allah without any doubt. As well as the sciences and the most well versed in the traditions of the noble messenger, as narrated by the great imams. You are the most knowledgeable of what is authentic and what is not, The most knowledgeable of trustworthy and weak narrators The most knowledgeable of the opinions of the jurists and the rulings Your character was similar to that of righteous leaders rich in poverty and generous to the needy. You were content with what you had ,blessed with good health and were sincere and pure in your piety. (Skip some lines and continue) They accused him of everything and every vile statement. They were incapable of overcoming him Can anger compete with a solid rock? a rust that shines brightly in its strike? O Ibn Taymiyyah, you are triumphed in this world.
