Hilariously, it takes big YouTubers like Critikal or celebrities in general to try doing ADR and then speaking about it for people to realize that it’s hard as hell to get right. We’re lucky to get a line in one take in an entire session. Every line and scene are read cold.

Charlie shares his experience dubbing a character in Baki and this really puts into perspective how tough English dubbing is for voice actors. People will denounce all dubs for being “cringe” but the actors are literally instructed to copy the cadence of the original lmao
