Gov Abbott released the mask mandate for businesses starting March 10th. Canyon ISD is awaiting guidance from the Texas Education Agency (TEA) in how to proceed in the school system.  As information becomes available from TEA, we will release it to our parents and community.

Due to the continued high demands for energy consumption across the state, Canyon ISD will cancel school on Thursday, February 18, 2021 and Friday, February 19, 2021. This decision comes after further discussions today with local utility providers.

Due to the continued high demands for energy consumption across the state and ongoing outages in our community, Canyon ISD will cancel school on Wednesday, February 17, 2021. This decision comes after discussions today with local utility providers.

Canyon ISD will cancel school tomorrow on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 due to the potential for rolling blackouts and the request from the energy companies to conserve power.
