Want a tougher team? Start here: 1. Stop rescuing them 2. Stop repeating yourself 3. Stop negotiating the standard 4. Stop accepting half-effort 5. Stop waiting for buy-in Toughness isn’t talked about. It’s built.

Coordinators and Head Coaches Reminder: One play… One personnel adjustment… One Coaching change… One moment of praise to the un-expectant recipient… One late night phone call to your 4th team tackle… One moment to praise your staff in a moment of chaos… It’s the “Ones” that make a team get that one extra win that changes everyone’s life. Never ignore “the ones”

OC and Head Coach GameDay Reminders to Adjust on GameDay: 1) If O is killing it and moving ball and scoring with u being a risk taker and playing fast, then continue if defense is struggling 2) If O stinks and struggles to get first downs and is 3 and out fast and Defense is playing great and getting stops then slow down and “muddle huddle” and snap late and eat more clock 3) Head coach remember at the end of game either way if u win not to publicly throw the O or the D under the bus publicly…Sometimes matchups make one side better than the other and if u say “We are a team…Not an Offense or a Defense” then act like it when you get a victory… I’ve won 60-59 and 3-2 and I’ve lost 57-59… The 3-2 win( albeit I was fired a couple weeks after) was a much better coaching job than the 57-59 loss… Winning football games is hard and if u can figure it out as an OC to win ugly and a DC to bleed a little slower then you’re a damn good unselfish coach. Not every year or every game is going to be lights out and keep u in guru status…Learn to win, teach, and enjoy regardless

Phenomenal Quarterback coaching is taking the complex and making it simple. Take their skill set and adapt to them. Build the offense where they feel successful and expand slowly. What you know isn’t important…It’s what they can comprehend and perform without thinking!

This year the Generals carry on that tradition of honoring the military by honoring the Marine Corps Security Force Battalion - Bangor, Washington by carrying their flag and wearing their logo on their helmets. #NavyNation

Quarterback reminders for a great season…Be like #JaredGoff 1)Get up when knocked down and fight one more play 2) Remember: you’ll never be as good as people say u are and you’ll never be as bad as people say 3) Improve just a little every day every play 4) Just play the play 5) Have “typewriter” feet like Manning all the time 6) Keep the eyes down field regardless of the rush…never see the rush simply feel the rush 7) Work hard and smart every practice rep… it always carries over to the field 8) Everything good goes to your teammates( praise them), everything bad goes to me ( the Qb) … criticize self 9) Learn what everyone is good at and feed the ball to them properly 10) Take notes every day about your good, your bad, and your ugly 11) Enjoy the journey…It’s a choice

Hall of Fame coaches understand that the center may be more important than the quarterback? Why?In today’s“ shotgun snap world” he will throw it backwards between his legs 50-80 times a game while blocking a badass DL and calling out the front…One bad snap,we lose! Hail Centers!

The Grab Concept “cutups” and coaching points…Remember 1) PlayAction is better as it holds backers from getting deep drops and grabs eyes of safety 2) Step on toes of defender to grab his attention 3) QB look for homerun but take what’s given
