The mop at the Museum has been consistently at optimal moistness for the court to dry in time for the players returning between games. Nuance is key. #PSAWorldChamps

Perhaps the lesson from @PSAWorldChamps is that successful performance arises from awareness and movement / ball striking adaptability, particularly when this can so easily be shaped by the opponent (esp. when they are tired), the referee and the court conditions.

5. Player A desperate for a Let 6. Referee gives Stroke 7. Review watched in slow motion from all angles but not in real time from behind the court 8. Decision upheld Play a different shot? Play a better shot?

This happens quite often 1. Player A under pressure in BH back corner hits straight drive 2. Opponent in control plays BH str. volley short 3. Shot is competent and straight (no side wall) 4. Player A is late recovering to T so direct line to ball is through opponent

🇪🇬 So, at the major squash events in 2019 - Egypt won 24 of the available 25 titles across men’s and women’s draws 😮 Only @paulcollsquash victory at @CWCsquash stopping a clean sweep in the calendar year Absolutely bonkers

@PNSQUASH @PSAWorldTour @QCsquash @PSAWorldChamps I hear you, Big Phil. Something is not right if the refs can get Leo Au close to smashing up the place. The confusion with decisions in the BH front corner may soon see the demise of the straight drop...

@PSAWorldTour @QCsquash @PSAWorldChamps Loving the PSA World Championships but the ineptitude of the refereeing, particularly at key times in matches, is quite breathtaking. Players have worked hard for years and such poor and ill thought-through decisions are extremely unfair.

@JonathanKemp30 @Lee_M_Drew I think the rules can be adaptive and nuances should exist for the top level as PSA has sought to do - I wondered about the technical application of these. WSF must do more to ensure that these interpretations are not used at all levels - particularly for junior squash

@GeneverPeter @Lee_M_Drew It’s actually the opposite Pete. PSA are simply applying the rules as they are written, WSF are the ones with the unnecessary “interpretations” and their unwillingness to change forced PSA to take the initiative. So if you want a document to read I suggest the rules of squash 👍

WSF are custodians of the rules, PSA openly impose their own interpretations promoting game continuity and referee decisions resulting in more definitive rally outcomes at the top level. @Lee_M_Drew is there a document which can be shared which outlines the PSA interpretation?

The biggest thing I have noticed on return to the UK after seven years is that the standard of hairdressing has plummeted
