@Epitaff1io yeah that’s why anti slug and tunnel should be gutted, and then when top tiers become too oppressive from it we nerf the top tiers and buff the low tiers. the idea that we shouldn’t pursue balance because it’s too much work defeats the point of a balance team.

@Genoxy_ The problem is that you have to do too much and also undo a lot of good things to make it right. Killers like wesker cannot exist in anti-tunnel/slug environment meta, they are too fair to afford splitting hooks unless there's a ridiculous skil difference in a match.

people talk about killer strength as a balance point way too much compared to interactivity. a strong killer is fine only if the interaction feels good on both sides and isn’t just losing 50’s

@Epitaff1io yeah that’s why we change and improve the impacted things accordingly. idk why anyone thinks that balance has to be a one in the chamber mentality, you can make sweeping changes to multiple things, especially things that interact with each other.

@Genoxy_ Yea but this leads to the character being completely powercrept. We can't have killers like that in meta with such overabundance of second chances and resources and people are just not willing to let that go and deal with higher amount of strategies.

@grwechan @carolbressmilk @LUCI1DD if there is a solution to the problem of accessibility without changing balance then that is what i want. spirit is just fine strength wise, but in my opinion accessibility should come before balance, as balance is MUCH easier to tweak and improve on.

spirit does not need to be accessible to play, just to vs playing her is a choice, n if u want to complete rifts involving her, cherry blossom is right there. vsing her is not, n theres so many ways we can make her accessible to vs without destroying the integrity of the killer

@Epitaff1io i think good interaction is a mixture of mind games, 50’s, and knowledge checks. wesker is a great example with the amount of techs he has, but also the amount of counterplay and mind games that play into each.
