@dheisman @ilex_ulmus If the drink is sugary, you probably increase cavity probability over time without a straw. Probably better to just have less sugary drinks in general though.

Guys. Plastic is the perfect material for straws. Paper disintegrates. Metal doesn’t bend in to assist with the suck. American trash is basically not what ends up in the Ocean (mostly from 3rd world rivers). And straws are not a large percentage of single-use plastic trash.
