@NepoWorldChamp His chess will speak for itself in the candidates.
English

@Ankiii_i It's not even that. His recent tournaments results have been atrocious for a world champion.
English

Calling Gukesh’s world championship win an ‘accident’ has become so common… people keep saying it only happened because Ding Liren blundered or because Magnus Carlsen didn’t play. What makes it even worse is that even former world champions are saying the same thing. Now it feels like he has to prove himself all over again in this year’s world championship and hopefully people will see what he’s truly capable of because becoming world champion isn’t something that happens just by luck
English

@LordInosuke741 Grouping these chads with koji is just disrespectful to them.
English

@Victorycamphor @EndgameaiChess It's more about his bad tournament results
English

@EndgameaiChess It's not Gukesh fault that Magnus pulled off and for all others he defeated them in candidates tournament. It's not by accident.

♟️ Karpov: “Gukesh became champion by accident”
12th World Champion Anatoly Karpov says 🇮🇳 Gukesh Dommaraju’s title came down to a decisive mistake by Ding Liren, arguing the match could have ended differently.
He also pointed to India’s rapid rise in chess, crediting strong government support for producing elite talent.
On Magnus Carlsen, Karpov noted he’s still effectively the strongest player and that Gukesh holds the crown partly because Carlsen chose not to compete.
Interestingly, Karpov added that by similar logic, even his own 1975 title could be called “by accident.”

@TylerJones94228 @EndgameaiChess He would have lost against the Goat

Rising chess star @Mareeswj DIVULGES why he SKIPPED the FIDE Candidates:
“Like Carlsen, I have not been able to defeat Bluebaum in a classical game. I’ve observed that he plays at a level that is above even elite understanding. I cannot stop the inevitable.”
[@promotedpawns]

JoiningUnrelatedDots@Mareeswj
It is the same reason why I decided to not play the candidates as well
English

@HeeZG0ne @beast89217 @TheKhelIndia He did say that he was experimenting in 2025 and that he would focus solely on classical now and stop experimenting some time ago.
It's just a bad form.
English

@beast89217 @HeeZG0ne @TheKhelIndia This mentality doen't work either. He needs to know when to go for a draw and when to push. Sometimes he pushes when he doesn't need to and loses. That's not champion mentality.
English

@HeeZG0ne @TheKhelIndia That’s what it makes different from others . Result might be bad but mentality and thinking matters . He is going to rise for sure

@_harramm If all men are in their princess era, doesn't that even it out?
English

@xrosstheh @TakeTakeTakeApp @MagnusCarlsen That's pretty much what he's referring to now. It's not hard to see 20 moves ahead. But variations pop up as you make moves and you can't think about every variation. In simpler positions where the game plan is very linear, he obviously calculates very ahead.
English

@TakeTakeTakeApp @MagnusCarlsen Years ago,... Didn't Magnus say something like "He could see almost 20 moves ahead but the tricky part was the evaluation of that position"...?!
English
