🇺🇸🇸🇦 Trump just approved a 30-year nuclear deal with Saudi Arabia, and it's a massive win for the kingdom. American companies like Westinghouse would build the reactors, locking out Russia and China, with the whole thing worth tens of billions. Thing is, it's not all just reactors and revenue. If a joint U.S.-Saudi study says it's warranted, American firms could build a uranium enrichment facility on Saudi soil. It would run under a secretive "black box" setup, meant to keep the sensitive tech out of Riyadh's hands. There are warnings that it would essentially crack the door open to a nuclear arms race across the Middle East, especially with MBS already on record that if Iran gets a bomb, so does Saudi Arabia. Congress can review it, but blocking it needs a two-thirds vote, so the odds are stacked in Trump's favor.
