It’s great to try new things and meet new people. If you do your placement in Bangor or elsewhere it is something that will truly add in a positive way to your time at university.

I would definitely recommend a placement to anyone in their 2rd year especially those in Geography - there is such a range in what you learn and therefore it’s great to get some hands-on experience and think about what you may want to do once you’ve graduated. 8/9

Catherine Hirst:My placement was at the start of the Summer while I was still living in Bangor and I worked in Holyhead on Anglesey. My placement was with Môn CF .I originally was introduced to Môn CF during my first year when we visited Holyhead. 1/9
Thank you for teaching my how to build a dry stone wall, Roll bracken, identity seagrass pods and use GIS more confidently. It was more valuable to me than you'll ever know 4/4

I worked with a visiting PhD student from Universita di Pavia in Italy who is currently working on their thesis and was conducting experiments for their research study which ran for 2 months. 1/5
