After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today. I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby. It has been an honor serving under @POTUS and @DNIGabbard and leading the professionals at NCTC. May God bless America.

The Bar has spoken, and the message is clear: A new chapter begins for the Law Society of Kenya - grounded in discipline, legitimacy and the will of the membership. This Thursday, we decide whether the Law Society of Kenya will drift under pressure or rise with structure, discipline and purpose. As this campaign closes, I speak to you not merely as a candidate, but as a colleague who understands the systemic pressures facing our profession, and the responsibility of leadership at this moment. This election is about stewardship. It is about restoring institutional discipline in the management of our finances and secretariat - ensuring transparent processes, predictable governance and systems that outlive personalities. It is about protecting the practice space - firmly confronting quackery, unlawful encroachment and the steady erosion of professional standards that threaten the livelihood of advocates. It is about expanding opportunity, not redistributing scarcity - strengthening ADR as a primary pathway, positioning advocates for emerging sectors such as technology, digital trade and green energy, and leveraging regional and continental integration to secure broader markets for our members. It is about structured skills development and mentorship - especially for the Young and Mid-Bar - so that entry into the profession is not survival by chance, but progression by design. It is about an LSK that is independent in defending the rule of law, disciplined in governance, credible before the Judiciary and *Government*, and respected by its own members. I humbly ask for your vote on Thursday, 19th February, 2026. Let us reclaim the dignity of our profession and secure a future where every advocate - from the newest admission to the most senior silk - feels the power of their Society behind them. One time Mozilla Foundation came to Kenya to donate containers equipped with computers for digital villages in the city. The handlers in the Officer of Governor @SakajaJohnson demanded Ksh 600,000 to facilitate a meeting with the governor. The Chief Officer who initiated contact with Mozilla Foundation, @AgollaVictor, resigned in protest. These things can make someone angry. It’s a common occurrence in Nairobi County.

A very close friend of mine called yesterday that she had investors from Europe who wanted to pay a courtesy call on a Cabinet Minister. She called a friend of the Minister who demanded money to facilitate the meeting! I pray & hope that seeing a public official at all levels is free! It will truly be sad if well meaning investors & locals can’t see a public official for free! Rwanda & Ethiopia are taking off because there is no bribe whatsoever to see anyone in Government. President Paul Kagame gave me an appointment sometimes back to go see him in State House & no one asked me for any money.

Media’s DEAD WRONG: ODM isn’t splitting! It’s survival mode. That’s why my friends are pushing back hard. Nairobi politics does not control ODM’s future. Sifuna and Babu get it. They won city voters who are cosmopolitan and liberal. With the Kamba and Kikuyu being the majority in the city, they want leaders who speak their true language, the one from their kingpins. Kalonzo’s influence as Kamba leader was huge in past elections and no doubt in 2027 too. Any smart politician must be seen doing that. Riggy G sees himself as big power.
