There are others on here who will back me up on this, going into Celtic Park yesterday was the worst I’ve ever experienced. The venom and hatred, plus the physical attacks on anyone wearing maroon, was absolutely disgusting. And it wasn’t a minority. Scum of the earth.

@pieandbov So inevitably Don Robertson will be pressurised by the GFA and Celtic to confirm he had blown his whistle. There will be no evidence of this of course and we will all have to trust him. They will then hope we just forget about it all and we all carry on like before.

So on everything else that happened yesterday….. I absolutely understand the elation and emotion about the third goal and even the way it was scored. It was always going to spark bedlam and as a passionate football fan myself you can understand why some folk jumped on to the track as part of the celebrations, same as what happened at Motherwell during the week. It happens. What shouldn’t happen though, with the game not even finished, is that a good number of those fans then went much, much further. Invading all over the pitch, confronting and goading the Hearts players and making it impossible for the game to resume. I think we can all agree it of course made zero difference to the outcome of the game, the whistle would have been blown as soon as Hearts kicked off again but you cannot have fans deciding when a game is over. The Hearts players should not have been put in that position and it was a really sorry end to what was a tremendous game to finish an incredible title race. The SPFL will I am sure take a very dim view of what happened, particularly if Don Robertson confirms that he had not blown the full time whistle. More to come on this over the next few days I think.

Ugly scenes at the end of Celtic v Hearts at Parkhead today. Several Hearts players were accosted by Celtic fans during an injury-time pitch invasion. We have been here before in Scottish football this season. Could this not have been prevented? Full updates in @heraldscotland

A truly horrible day for Scottish football. A sad title race in the end. Hearts have been robbed and the establishment have been gifted the title. You cannot defend the integrity of the league anymore. If you’re truly a Scotland fan you cannot celebrate or defend this.
