I apologize now for all typos during the pandemic. I’m simply working too fast to avoid making them as we are inundated hourly with so much information.

Feel better today. Have had some pretty scary moments that caused me to rewrite my will. SpO2 back up to 99% with few symptoms. Enough energy to finally start cleaning house in small, incremental steps. There was a time that walking to the bathroom took superhuman effort....

@lumiere2016 Vegetarian since teenage years. I haven’t been as active or as healthy since Trump got elected, honestly. I look forward to changing that. And thanks.

@GeopoliticalJD Sorry to hear what you went through. Just out of curiosity did you happen to be in the very healthy/aerobically fit group?

Not sure I’ve ever been treated so rudely on Twitter before tonight. I know this pandemic is scary and hard on us all, but please be kind and respectful to one another. I block #rude. I block #mansplainers with poor insight. I block folks who lack basic human empathy.

Anyone know if there are ways to give foreign trained doctors who are resident in the US but not practising here emergency licenses? I'm getting emails from doctors in the US who want to help but don't know how to go about it.

@Attozio Realize now my destiny was never to become a doctor. My Heart accepts but my mind hungers for that education I simply don’t have time now to get. Glad you too are making the most of where our destinies took us.

@emilyjodell I mash all this up after frying in egg abd cornmeal, add evaporated Carnation canned milk or whole milk (preferably whole cream) to the oil at lower temp, some flour, stir and theres your gravy. Thicken more with very masked fried livers.

@emilyjodell Yes, my best friend almost put her dog to sleep at the vet’s recommendation. She asked for a different vet in the same practice that stapled the splenic artery and took out the spleen. And no I don’t fry the chicken spleens (I think) but they livers and stuff.

@emilyjodell This is just my humble opinion based on experience, but ferocious love can extend life even in the worst circumstances at times. I would do it without hesitation.

@emilyjodell Your vet will have calorie supplements (here in gel) that if you ask, I’m sure they can put a little nausea meds mixed into that and then into his favorite foods. My best friend’s dog had a splenic aneurysm 3 years ago, spleen removed, still healthy at 15.

@emilyjodell By the way, I’ve been an ethical vegetarian since 17, but I will throw that dead chicken in a pot for broth and pull its innards out for a gravy when my cats are facing something life-threatening. It’s so worth it. Older animals know special treatment when they see it.

@emilyjodell It may be worth the try, particularly if you work to build his body back up as much as possible. Dogs and people can live without spleens pretty easily. Again, as I since childhood have almost always had cats that reach 20 or beyond, I *swear by* the best brands of baby food.

@emilyjodell ...at least avoid the iv at the vet if your lucky as it contains so much hydration. As long as there pain and nausea control, it’s harder on Mammas but best for our four legged children to die at home. Still crying. I’m so sorry.

@emilyjodell Emily, you’ve had Anubis almost 2 decades at your side as you both traveled the world (sometimes facing your own death). No dog could have asked for a better soul or a better life. Look into his eyes. He knows how much you love him & he knows what’s happening. He is your child.

@emilyjodell All he wants is for you to not leave his side right now. He’s scared. Older animals know when they are dying. The gentlest petting with the most sweetest songs with his name in them helps as your own body gives into sleep. Gerber chicken and gravy baby food (or similar) can...

@emilyjodell I guess I had fallen in love with Anubis too because I’m crying. And that’s also because I know from personal experience how devastating this is. I believe he’ll meet you at the other side to help you when you reach this adventure as we all will. Pain and nausea meds impt
