McDonald’s is launching a new concept and I was just there and grabbed pics of a whole new menu of items never been offered before The concept is being launched in Bollingrbook, IL and it’s called CosMc’s It’s not open yet and there was a full team of actors in the drive thru filing a commercial so the menu was up and I was able to snap a few pics from afar It’s a mix of A LOT of new drink offerings and an all day breakfast menu of new items too Four drive thru lanes to boot @Mike_Haracz @FastFoodMaven

The economics of buying a home where I live just no longer make sense As someone who 2 years ago was looking at a $2.5M house in LA when rates were historically low…it has become ridiculous At todays current rates, if I put down $500k on that home, and get a 30 year fixed mortgage (If you include taxes and maintenance etc) That home will cost me $20K+ a month for the next 30 years. I do ok for myself, and have the money to buy said home. But it makes me wonder…why would I? For 2 bedrooms and a small pool? OR GRASS not even a combo of the 2 Who in there right mind is buying these homes? Why wouldn’t I just rent and invest the rest of my money Surely I’m missing something here? Let’s assume I was doing worse financially, or had kids, or a spouse who didn’t work What am I missing here…

Visa/Master trading at x30 P/E is ridiculous. Apple and Google have the same multipliers but their moat is wider and deeper: If Apple and Google decide to put fast real-time payments as a default setting instead of Visa/Master — it will be the end of the card companies

It's time to short $V (VISA) and $MA (MasterCard) because: 1/ Card networks are very slow and expensive. 2/ Crypto stablecoins are getting more adoption. 3/ A2A direct transfers are on the rise. I'd say thanks to Visa/Master for making my life easier for a few years, anyway❤️

@jefielding The most important thing for startups these days is direct warm intros to infrastructure providers. America’s rough, so many vendors want to work only with large checks, and are not interested in nursing startups. Those intros are doable (and non-monetary) value-adds for VCs

Thinking about how to continue to support our portfolio companies beyond our first investment…Right now, we only write one pre-seed check and do all follow-on / pro rata via SPVs. Half the LPs I talk to: double the next fund size and roll it all in (pre+seed+A) Half the LPs: create a separate fund just for the follow-on. All the LPs state their position with confidence and have data to back up their perspective. 🤷🏼‍♀️
