Desperately sad to say that my friend Gianni Savio has passed away. There’s a lot to add - about his remarkable career, the riders he launched towards greatness, the laughs he & I shared over 20 years & hundreds of chats - but for now my thoughts are with his wife & daughters.

20 years ago to the day that my Dad had a life changing stroke. Not been the biggest Christmas fan since I spent that Xmas day in the hospital as a 10 year old not really knowing what happened. He’s had more strokes since then but luckily he’s still plodding on. The day before I watched him score a hat trick too! 🙏🏻❤️

@Zonal_Marking It’s even worse at non-league level where a referee will typically call a foul throw once a game, when literally nobody on the pitch could give a toss.

Pleased to learn Erling Haaland is on board. “If you throw like this or whatever, it doesn't matter. Just have two hands on the ball and throw the ball.” Spot on. All the fuss about “dropping” it or having a foot up is such a waste of time, it doesn’t matter at all.
