Some PERSONAL NEWS: In a couple of weeks, I'll be leaving the @EDP24 and heading off to Wales. It's been three years since I moved back to Norfolk and It's been a blast. Very excited but also sad to leave the brilliant team here.

Dramatic scenes at @NorwichCC this evening with four members quitting the Labour Party. Three were city councillors and one was a Norfolk County Councillor.

With four members gone from Norwich City Council, Labour no longer holds a majority. Before this evening Labour held 23 seats on the city council, the Greens 13 and the Lib Dems three. The make-up is now Labour 19, Greens 13, Independents four, and Lib Dems three.

All will stand as Independents

Ms Davis previously stood as the party's candidate for Norwich North.

The meeting has also seen interruptions from protesters calling for the city council to support a ceasefire in Gaza. At one point business was suspended while the public chanted "ceasefire now" from the public gallery.
