So proud the Club has agreed for George’s memorial bench to be placed on the back wall of the new memorial garden, facing the Stadium
His ashes will be laid in its foundation, meaning he’ll be there looking up at the place he loved so much, with the fans he cared so much for ❤️
Almost time for our International fans party at @FansMuseum to kickoff International fans weekend 2026, the 1st without George! He loved being in the thick of it hearing the stories from all of our fellow Supporters from around the globe! I’m sure he’ll be with us this weekend
Who knew that Ratty, Mole, Toad & Badger are Sunderland fans?
If they’re not at the game they are listening to @Tweed_Barnesy & @benno_4
The Atlas Theatre Company production of Willows on the Wear will be in schools in June ..the kids are putting their all in (so is Barnesy)😂
It truly is a fitting tribute. The statue of #JimmyMontgomery will stand proudly outside the Stadium of Light, immortalising the moment of his legendary double-save during the 1973 FA Cup Final, proudly opposite Legend Bob Stokoe 🙌🏼

What Sunderland and the Derby means to a 93-year-old and a 10-year-old 😍 absolutely wonderful watching George’s Friend Rosemary, a 93-year-old die hard season ticket holder recording a piece for the club ❤️ 💋
An emotional day saying farewell to the one and only George Forster.
Truly inspiring to see such a big turnout celebrating how much he brought people together - with some wonderful tributes from his closest friends.
RIP George.

It broke our heart taking him to his beloved Stadium for the last time, but we took comfort in how the whole community come together to show so much love and respect for George ❤️
A legends send off ❤️⚽️
A real privilege to be able to lead George’s funeral today, and so lovely to see the #Sunderland fanbase turn out in such good numbers to pay their respects to such an important member of our community. Rest in peace. #safc.
