@Johotntv @jolllyy_ @txflon @Neybriel20 There was a woman on here who was 77% European, had blue eyes, straight hair and super pale skin but still identified as Black I personally agree with you that it doesn’t make much sense but to most people you can only be white if you’re near 100% otherwise you’re just Black

@crackerrapist1c @akua_obeng42840 I’ve never seen an Igbo with straight hair or a Eurasian and facial features? But weren’t not even talking about Igbo we’re talking about Sudanese Arabs which have significant Eurasian DNA And you don’t even know if this girl in the stock photo is actually Sudanese at all

@Geox369 @akua_obeng42840 nope, im lightskin and my brother is darkskin and we have the same mom and dad, has nothing to do wth eurasian dna. OCA3 Albinism is found in rainforest groups, Blacks such as the Igbo can present such features, it is not linked to eurasian dna at all.

@crackerrapist1c @akua_obeng42840 lightskins typically just have more Eurasian/Non-African DNA… and we’re talking about Sudanese Arabs so that’s most probably the case. I don’t know what point you are trying to make anyway because I’ve admit it is subjective and you must follow a Non-Western racial class

@crackerrapist1c @akua_obeng42840 When did I say only West Africans are Black? Black as a racial term was originally used for West Africans yes. So typically when someone talks about Black phenotypes or features they’re talking about West African people and other SSA have those features too so yeah

@Geox369 @akua_obeng42840 so even though she is like 73-80% SSA she aint black? didnt you just say you gotta be SSA to be black?

@Geox369 @txflon @Neybriel20 the point is those studies flatten the diversity of the AA population. if you treat 80%+ west african dna as the requirement for being AA, you’re still cutting out a huge portion of the community that falls outside that range.

@crackerrapist1c @akua_obeng42840 AND I never said Arab was a race, if you look up the demographics of Sudan their ethnicity is literally called Sudanese Arabs, I’m aware they’re not actual Arabs and have very little Arabian DNA, but alas they themselves are infamous for not identifying as Black

@Geox369 @akua_obeng42840 arab is an ethnolinguistic identity, not a racial one, you know Afro-Saudis exist? right..... ever heard of... erm, arabisation? are you saying that Sudanese Baggara are not black because they are Arabs despite being 73% Sub-Saharan African?

@jolllyy_ @txflon @Neybriel20 No offence but that’s like one-drop rule classification, I understand that Biracial people are still considered Black culturally and socially but a 50% person is more accurately Biracial and that DNA is due to recent family lineage unlike the 15% Admixture in average AA
