In collaboration with our friends Pete Blieberg and Lou Bonanzio from @NFFSuffolk we are excited to announce a showcase for 𝐋𝐈 𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐄 𝟐𝟎𝟑𝟐 𝐀𝐏𝐄𝐗 and 𝐋𝐈 𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐄 𝟐𝟎𝟑𝟑 𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐕𝐘 𝐇𝐈𝐓𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐒 and 𝐁𝐑𝐎𝐎𝐊𝐋𝐘𝐍 𝐓𝐈𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐒 youth teams at the upcoming National Football Foundation All-Star Classic. Saturday June 21st. Arrive at Noon High School game kicks off at 1:00pm. Players are free, family and friends can buy tickets at the gate. Come watch the top High School Seniors from LI and NYC play in the All Star Classic and also get a glimpse of two first class youth football programs! For over a decade @LIEliteFootball and @BrooklynTitans have been producing top football talent, educating them on branding, ethics, academics, social media, and time management, and raising fine men through lessons that transcend the field. This new all-star game comes as a replacement for the Empire Challenge, which had been organized by the Boomer Esiason Foundation for 24 years before being canceled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The National Football Foundation and the College Football Hall of Fame’s New York City chapter are now taking the reins, aiming to deliver a similar experience for athletes. According to Marc Hudak, president of the National Football Foundation’s NYC chapter, the leadership may have changed, but the goal remains the same. “We want the student-athletes to get the same treatment as they did with Boomer,” he said. Plans are in place to honor Esiason by naming the game’s MVP after him to respect his contributions to the sport. Pete Blieberg, from the National Football Foundation also chairs Section XII Athletics and is coordinating the event. He has extensive experience from his time running the Empire Challenge.
