For everyone who already KYC'd years ago this comes about 3 cycles too late. The more useful lesson: never store enough in one location to make kidnapping profitable. Geographic distribution of keys solves the physical threat. KYC avoidance only solves targeting, not extraction. How many current victims were found through KYC vs just flaunting wealth on social media?

The number 1 lesson from current kidnappings is not about multisig, hardware or anything that sophisticated. It's way simpler. Avoid KYC and tax reporting for your sats. At all costs.
