@franosung In this case, the modal verb takes the first position. E.g Darf Ich rein kommen? (May I come in?)

Ach so Es ist veraltet und regional. Als Beispielsatz nehme ich einen schweizerdeutschen Text aus dem Jahr 1415: "schickt seyn botschaft auf" – also "er schickt seine Botschaft nach oben", an eine höhere Stelle. Man kann es sich vorstellen wie das förmliche Weiterleiten von etwas nach oben. Im modernen Deutschen wird es so gut wie nicht mehr verwendet ♥️🇩🇪
