Answers 🇩🇪 𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗱 ➖ book volume 𝘋𝘦𝘳 𝘻𝘸𝘦𝘪𝘵𝘦 𝘉𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘪𝘴𝘵 𝘣𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘳. The second volume is better. 𝗱𝗶𝗲 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗱 ➖ music group 𝘋𝘪𝘦 𝘉𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘱𝘪𝘦𝘭𝘵 𝘩𝘦𝘶𝘵𝘦 𝘈𝘣𝘦𝘯𝘥. The band plays tonight. 𝗱𝗮𝘀 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗱 ➖ ribbon, tape 𝘚𝘪𝘦 𝘵𝘳ä𝘨𝘵 𝘦𝘪𝘯 𝘳𝘰𝘵𝘦𝘴 𝘉𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘪𝘮 𝘏𝘢𝘢𝘳. She wears a red ribbon in her hair. The plurals split too: 𝘥𝘪𝘦 𝘉ä𝘯𝘥𝘦 ➖ volumes 𝘥𝘪𝘦 𝘉𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘴 ➖ music groups 𝘥𝘪𝘦 𝘉ä𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳 ➖ ribbons One spelling. Three genders. Three plurals. 𝘥𝘪𝘦 𝘉𝘢𝘯𝘥 is the outlier. It was borrowed from English and still remains the same. 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻 𝗚𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝘆 🇩🇪

German prepositions that take the Genitive 🇩🇪 𝘄𝗲𝗴𝗲𝗻 ➖ because of 𝘁𝗿𝗼𝘁𝘇 ➖ despite 𝘄ä𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗱 ➖ during 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝘁 ➖ instead of 𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘵𝘻 𝗱𝗲𝘀 𝘙𝘦𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘴 = despite the rain 𝘸ä𝘩𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘥 𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝘈𝘳𝘣𝘦𝘪𝘵 = during work In casual speech many Germans use Dativ with these instead 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻 𝗚𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝘆 🇩🇪

German commands have one rule and one trap. 🇩🇪 The rule: take the 𝘥𝘶 form, drop the 𝘀𝘁. 𝘥𝘶 𝘬𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘴𝘵 ➖ 𝗞𝗼𝗺𝗺! = Come! 𝘥𝘶 𝘨𝘦𝘩𝘴𝘵 ➖ 𝗚𝗲𝗵! = Go! 𝘥𝘶 𝘮𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘴𝘵 ➖ 𝗠𝗮𝗰𝗵! = Do it! For the trap, if the verb is stem-changing, there will be two alternatives. 𝗲 → 𝗶 keeps the change: 𝘥𝘶 𝘴𝘱𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘩𝘴𝘵 ➖ 𝗦𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗵! 𝘥𝘶 𝘨𝘪𝘣𝘴𝘵 ➖ 𝗚𝗶𝗯! 𝗮 → ä drops it entirely: 𝘥𝘶 𝘧ä𝘩𝘳𝘴𝘵 ➖ 𝗙𝗮𝗵𝗿! 𝘥𝘶 𝘴𝘤𝘩𝘭ä𝘧𝘴𝘵 ➖ 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗹𝗮𝗳! For 𝘪𝘩𝘳, just use the normal form. 𝘒𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘵! For 𝘚𝘪𝘦, flip the word order. 𝘒𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘦𝘯 𝘚𝘪𝘦! If you dont want to sound like a dictator, you can add a softener like 𝗺𝗮𝗹. 𝘒𝘰𝘮𝘮 𝗺𝗮𝗹! 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻 𝗚𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝘆 🇩🇪

@GermanSimply_ Actually they make so much great sense. I'm arabic, and in Arabic we have a similar system for pronouns, for absolute specification. I love it...

German plurals look random. They mostly aren't. 🇩🇪 Every plural noun takes 𝗱𝗶𝗲, common knowledge. Now the patterns: Feminine nouns almost always add 𝗻 or 𝗲𝗻. 𝘥𝘪𝘦 𝘍𝘳𝘢𝘶 ➖ 𝘍𝘳𝘢𝘶𝘦𝘯, 𝘥𝘪𝘦 𝘉𝘭𝘶𝘮𝘦 ➖ 𝘉𝘭𝘶𝘮𝘦𝘯 Anything ending in 𝘂𝗻𝗴, 𝗵𝗲𝗶𝘁, 𝗸𝗲𝗶𝘁, 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗳𝘁, 𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 adds 𝗲𝗻. 𝘞𝘰𝘩𝘯𝘶𝘯𝘨 ➖ 𝘞𝘰𝘩𝘯𝘶𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘯 Words ending in 𝗲𝗿, 𝗲𝗹, 𝗲𝗻 usually don't change at all. 𝘥𝘦𝘳 𝘓𝘦𝘩𝘳𝘦𝘳 ➖ 𝘥𝘪𝘦 𝘓𝘦𝘩𝘳𝘦𝘳 Anything ending in 𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗻 or 𝗹𝗲𝗶𝗻 never changes. 𝘥𝘢𝘴 𝘔ä𝘥𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘯 ➖ 𝘥𝘪𝘦 𝘔ä𝘥𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘯 Borrowed words take 𝘀. 𝘥𝘢𝘴 𝘈𝘶𝘵𝘰 ➖ 𝘥𝘪𝘦 𝘈𝘶𝘵𝘰𝘴 There you have it📌 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻 𝗚𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝘆 🇩🇪
