So the government is splurging more cash on obesity research again. The last time it rewarded a health boss handsomely for such a task, she concluded that eating less and exercising more might work. Pure genius.

So the bosses of Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust who presided over the shocking and disturbing treatment of mothers and babies have all left to take up well paid jobs elsewhere in the NHS and health sector. I wonder what they put in their CVs! They should be in jail.

After 43 years, today is @Gerry_Warren's last day with the @KentishGazette, and, typically, he's ending on a high with all four splashes. He's always been a reassuring presence in the newsroom, and will be missed more than he'd believe. All invited to his send-off on April 1. 🍻
