Reminder that it costs €35k per annum to employ someone in a coffee shop on minimum wage, but people can't understand why a croissant costs €5.

I just paid €4.80, like a proper fool, for an almond croissant from The Art of Coffee, a perfectly pleasant but fairly run of the mill café chain where their pain au chocolat is, more often than not, stale. Now, this croissant is large and stuffed with filling, but nearly a fiver for a pastry is simply too much. Yet this is how we're going. I could have said no thanks and walked out when the server told me the price, but you know when someone insults you and you freeze, and it takes you a minute to react? That, except with pastry.

Case 01671537 opened on 3rd June nothing but a holding email since.
Finally get a reply on 1st July, asking for details already provided. Simple €100 baggage issue, and still no resolution.
Not good enough.

@AerLingus can you explain the logic behind “Pooling or sharing of the free 10kg checked baggage allowance is not permitted.” We were allowed to fly out of Dublin but on return charged €100 in Spain. As a family we now have to each bring a separate bag on the same booking.
