@cullenoncurling I didn’t think I would like the 7 ends or the no tick on any guard rules. I was wrong. Every game I saw had lots of action in the house. The two hour time slot is actually great. Will be interesting to see how a 5 week season works.

To launch that league successfully with 60 of the world’s top curlers, to bring curling back to CBC, to partner with ESPN, etc etc within just two years of acquiring the Slams is actually crazy. I really loved it and look forward to more. How did you enjoy S1?

Still coming down from a great week at Rock League but my thoughts: 1) there were some things that will need to be tweaked for next season but in my view, the two most important things are getting the format right and having the players buy in. Both of those were nailed

One question that’s come up today that’s not here is about the lack of a qualifier event in Europe. If you’ve noticed, there’s one TBD spot left on the calendar for the Victoria slam. Reach out to your favourite/local European event and see if they’ll have us!

@haavpet Would be surprised if they send Team Whyte. Still haven’t really proved themselves. I think it’s more likely to be one of the dudes who commented on social media about the double touch “scandal” at the Olympics. Those people know all the rules.

Really curious to see who will represent Scotland at mens worlds this year. Team Whyte might deserve a chance now, but it would be a big gamble to send such an unexperienced team.

The World Juniors on both sides feel like they have huge future implications. Kang has already made playoffs at Slams. Moa Dryburgh will be 5th for Wranå at worlds. On the men’s side, Spiller looking for B2B titles and Hebert looks like the US’ next great team

@cullenoncurling What a year to get the opportunity to go to the worlds. If Dupont plays like they did at the Olympics I wouldn’t rule them out of a podium finish.

With Fay Henderson winning the Scottish championships you also assume she’s going. Yoshimura lost the points race for Japan. So the only Olympic teams that will be there will be Constantini (ITA), Gim (KOR), Wang (CHN), and Dupont (DEN).

Perhaps the Swiss nationals starting 2 days after the Olympics was too much but huge upset wins for X. Schwaller and Hösli The entire women’s podium at the Olympics will not be at this year’s worlds and I am ready to declare that championship officially “wide open”

@THERussellGrant You need to look out for the @rockleaguecurl in April. Before that we have the @scottishcurling championships which are being streamed next week and the @worldcurling championships in March and April.

Our 🇬🇧 boys won a 🥌 silver 🥈 but watching them yesterday, I think many of us shared their disappointment and tears I know I did but I hope the channels don’t make us wait for another 4 years before we see those old granite stones curling on the ice. Is there a premier league?
