Mexico were by far the best team on the pitch across both halves. Dominated England in the second half especially after Quansah’s red card. Football is so ruthless and defeats are so hard to swallow but they are going out having made genuine history. Conceded only three goals, suffered only one defeat in the entire tournament and all from a single game, against England. One of the most dominant and cohesive sides in the group stage and Round of 32. Javier Aguirre coached a brilliantly organised, fearless team and deserves every single credit for that. They deserved more but that is football. Props to Mexico for a brilliant game. Props for everything they achieved in this World Cup. Props to every single Mexican player and fan out there. You did yourselves incredibly proud. 🇲🇽

@stuey_beef What a load of rubbish! A person living in a terraced house in Burnley is paying a similar amount to a Russian oligarch living in Kensington that's the truth under the current council tax bands and it needs to change

Burnham’s land tax is basically a mansion tax for people who don’t live in mansions. In the South, millions of ordinary families sitting in 3-bed semis bought decades ago would suddenly be treated like asset-rich oligarchs, taxed every year on notional land values they can’t spend. Retired couples on fixed incomes, mortgage prisoners, key workers clinging on in high-cost areas – all recast as “under‑taxed” landowners to be squeezed for an extra thousand pounds a year. This isn’t about fairness, it’s about a state that looks at your home and sees a cash machine, then blames you for living in the wrong postcode. Reply with your area and rough house value – could you actually afford a 1% annual land charge on top of everything else?

The UK's grid is doing something pretty remarkable today. ☀️ Solar: 31.5% 💨 Wind: 56.7% 🌱 Renewables: 88.5% ⛽ Gas: Just 11% ⚡ Power price: -£4.22/MWh We're generating more electricity than we need, exporting the surplus, and wholesale prices have gone negative. Clean energy isn't just about cutting emissions - it's reshaping the economics of electricity.

The North pays next to no stamp duty, inheritance tax, capital gains tax or income tax. It does have a much higher ratio of public sector workers and unemployed immigrants on welfare. And apparently we need more money from the South to pay for more of this shit.🤮🚮

Manchester became a city before Dallas or Denver, Miami or Minneapolis. It sits at the heart of an urban area with a bigger population than Las Vegas or Louisville, Portland or Pittsburgh, Cleveland or Cincinnati, New Orleans...but not quite New York.

@Watson_SLdn Jim Ratcliffe is worth 20 billion the Glazers are worth 8 billion, people with assets and wealth tend not to pay off large debts because they can make more money with the capital then they'd save on interest payments, the Glazers owning United is a perfect example

🚨 EXPOSED: THE BRUTAL COST OF A BURNHAM PREMIERSHIP. Keir Starmer is barely out of the door, and the Labour establishment is already preparing to raid your bank account. Andy Burnham’s economic blueprint has leaked, and it is a complete disaster for the British middle class. He is backing a scheme to scrap council tax and replace it with a new annual property tax of 0.48% of your home's value. 🤡 If you live in an average £553,000 house, you will be forced to pay £2,654 every single year just for the privilege of living in your own home. But the Labour tax grab gets even worse. 💷 Burnham wants to hike the top rate of income tax to 50p. His economic advisers are also pushing to scrap capital gains tax and tax your investments and dividends at full income tax rates. He is even proposing a flat 10% care levy on all inheritance, dragging millions of ordinary families into a death tax on their loved ones' estates from pound one. They are coming for everything you have built. And look at how quickly they will lie to your face just to get your vote. To win the Makerfield by-election last week, Burnham promised WASPI women he would "stick by" them and deliver billions in pension compensation. The second the vote was over, his team immediately backflipped and admitted they have zero plans to pay it. 🤡 They ruled out cash payouts entirely, offering them taxpayer-funded bus passes instead. They treat the public like absolute fools while using your hard-earned wages to fund their political ambitions. The global financial markets are already panicking. The yield on 10-year gilts spiked the second Starmer resigned because Burnham openly declared he wants to stop being in hock to the bond markets, which is code for massive, reckless state borrowing. This will drive UK mortgage rates and business loans through the roof, leaving everyday families to pay the price. Labour has simply changed the face in Downing Street, but the plan to bleed the working class dry remains exactly the same. RT to warn the country and expose this massive Labour tax grab! 🔁🇬🇧🔥

@Keir_Starmer This post is the best example of why you're about to be replaced by Andy Burnham, I didn't see similar post about the Muslim brothers that beat the police officers at Manchester Airport! Two Tier Keir will be your legacy.

Absolutely appalling. No one should face violence on our streets. The suspect appears to be motivated by anti-Muslim hatred. I will not tolerate this - he will face the full force of the law. My thoughts are with those who are injured and I thank the police and the emergency services for their response. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

Manchester United fans don’t want to hear this, but we should forget his 325k a week and keep Marcus Rashford if we want to win major titles. His form over the last two years has been astonishing, and he’s added pressing & defensive work to his game as well. Just look at his performance for England yesterday, world class. Ball striking, shooting, dribbling, pace, set-piece delivery, crossing, finishing, free kicks, penalties, I don’t think we can find another winger with ALL of that skill set for less than £100 million right now.

Amazing Ukrainian ingenuity. This is the cheapest way to neutralize russian threats. Ukrainian interceptor drones such as the Wild Hornets STING and SkyFall P1-SUN typically cost around $1,000–2,500 per unit, depending on the model and configuration. Meanwhile, the russian Shahed-type drones cost around $20,000–$70,000 per unit, depending on the model and configuration. The return on investment is 20 to 1.
