One of the things I wish that could change in our state is I wish the kids east of Raleigh could get the same resources and opportunities kids in the major metropolitan areas get. It’s literally why so many kids in that area either get overlooked or are under appreciated.

Proud moment this weekend - my 7th grade boys had the opportunity to play against an older, more physical and bigger 8th grade team. Each position 1–5 had a size advantage, and the difference one year makes at this age is huge. Won the game & moral - never overlook your opponent

these “reclass” & “grade level exception” rules have to be reinterpreted in some way. It’s a vast difference thru the middle school ranks — high school is where you start to see that 2 year age gap isn’t AS substantial

we have coaches/organizations who allow rising 8th & 9th graders to play in a 12u division just to win a tournament.. where’s the dignity in youth sports? s/o to those who do it right no matter the # of wins and losses.
