It's always amazing to see a full circle moment from where you once started and then hearing the impact that you had on someone's journey. I never take these moments for granted. Sidebar: can someone do a check of the of where the sips are in %gain since their reveal?

It’s not easy to just setup a VC firm correctly and run it. There’s regulatory, fees, thesis and raising the funds. Then it’s managing. You typically have an LP structure. You have to also have strong deal flow. Funds are judged by IRR and a few other metrics. Y Combinator the most successful accelerator that has housed unicorns pulls 7% (though it goes to 10-12%) can do that because they have an entire VC network that trusts their process because it has been proven. Their alumni network is amazing along with the VC network. Worth it? So when you have other accelerators trying to jump out with the same kind of structure they must be compared to the benchmark and check fine print. I always applaud our people to get into these spaces but make sure no corners are cut and it’s done right. Black Startups represent only about 2.5% of all VC investment. And the ones who get funded are typically underfunded but still make it work. If you all think that public markets are dope private is better. Risk is definitely there but if the fund you invest with has a good team and deal flow, good chance for success. But that takes operations not just writing a check. I hope this helps.

We’re officially live on @ProductHunt ! For a startup, this is a big moment. Product Hunt is where new tech products get discovered, tested, upvoted, and talked about by founders, operators, investors, and early adopters. It is one of the few places on the internet where your product gets put in front of people who actually care about what you built. So yes, this is a launch. But it is also a pressure test. And we’re proud to say Vettable is ready for it. We built Vettable because fundraising is still broken. Founders pitch without knowing how fundable they really are. Investors waste time sorting through noise. Accelerators are forced to make high stakes decisions without enough standardized data. Vettable changes that. We help startups understand their fundability before they pitch. We give founders a clearer picture of where they stand, what needs work, and how to become more investor ready. For investors, Vettable helps cut through the noise with better diligence, better matching, and better decision support. For accelerators and incubators, it creates a smarter way to evaluate, benchmark, and support startups at scale. This is bigger than a launch for us. It is a statement. We believe the future of fundraising will be more transparent, more intelligent, and more merit-based. We believe founders deserve to know where they stand before they walk into the room. And we believe capital should move with more clarity. Huge thank you to our team for getting us here. Mark Monroe Bethany Williams Amit Pal Payal Thakur Building a company is hard. Building one in public is even harder. Every late night, every product decision, every conversation, every iteration led to this moment. We’re just getting started. If our mission at Vettable resonates with you, check us out on Product Hunt, support the launch, and let us know what you think. Let’s make some noise. lnkd.in/e8eWcdQu #ProductHunt #StartupLaunch #FounderJourney #Startups #Fundraising

Some investors refuse to meet if you send an NDA before sharing your data room. Brutal truth: You're caught between protecting your IP and getting in front of capital. Send an NDA → "Too early stage for this." Skip the NDA → Your competitive advantage walks out the door. But here's what we built to solve this: 𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐜 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐬. Founders can now generate trackable links with two access levels: • Data Room only • Data Room + AI insights No investor signup required. No friction. But you see exactly who viewed what and when they accessed your materials. Translation: You maintain control without creating barriers. Meanwhile, investors get immediate access to standardized profiles instead of scattered pitch decks. Higher quality conversations from day one. Founders shouldn't choose between protection and access. #Fundraising #Startups #VentureCapital #Vettable

The best pitch deck won’t save you if no one knows you exist. Fundraising starts 6+ months before you need the money. Visibility is the strategy.

we are raising a $500k pre seed round for @GraceOSLabs. not for offices or crazy salaries but “compute” because the difference between a demo and something that feels like magic is compute. if you believe in founders building real things and not just decks, dm me

I'm partnering with Deel to find the best 10 founders on the planet to pitch and win a $1M investment. I've talked to thousands of founders building companies in every corner of the globe. I know a great pitch when I hear one. That's why Deel asked for my help. If you're selected to pitch at one of the regional finals, I'll even help you workshop your pitch to put your best foot forward on stage. Regional finals: Tel Aviv (Mar 23), Dubai (Apr 6), Paris (Apr 13), Berlin (Apr 20), London (Apr 28), New York (May 5), Singapore (May 13). See you there! Link in the comments below.

@amarifields_ Then the validation becomes technical milestones, not product usage. Deep tech has different signals but investors still want proof of progress.

@GetVettable what if you are restricted on hardware (compute) to further build out product and push forward innovation? meaning real deal breaker is cost because compute is expensive

currently raising a $500k pre seed round. some investors ask for financials, others say you do not need them at this stage. early stage fundraising feels like a different rulebook every conversation. founders who raised… what was the real deciding factor for your investors?

@FrovaSwap @amarifields_ Deep tech has longer build cycles, agreed. But investors still look for proof the problem is real and the market exists.
