@susie_dent In Cantonese, biceps is called 老鼠仔，literally translates to little mouse, for the same reason because it resembles a mouse. Don’t know whether it’s a coincidence because of the same observation, or it’s translated from Latin.

A reminder of one of the loveliest pairs of siblings in the dictionary: ‘muscle’ and ‘mouse’. To the Roman imagination, the flexed biceps of a (typically naked) athlete resembled a rodent scuttling under the skin. ‘Musculus’, in Latin, means ‘little mouse’.

The good thing about landing in the early hours of the morning is, there’s no one at the luggage check and long as you don’t appear suspicious, you can pretty much just walk right out with excess duty frees 😂

All these self service check ins and luggage weighing must be a nightmare for the elderly who don’t travel often. Flight delayed.

The story itself isn’t all that bad. The characters are a bit cliched and takes a while to warm to them, but the time you do feel something, it’s all over. Kinda like a Hollywood movie where the action takes over the development of the characters and you end up not caring.

Finished this new offering from Richard Osman. I can’t help but think this new series was created with Hollywood in mind. Maybe he has a deal to sell the rights for another film deal, the characters in here are your typical Hollywood movie stereotypes. It lacks charm and wits.

Third of the way into the new Richard Osman book We solve murder. Unlike the Thursday murder club series, no feel for any of the characters. The protagonist, or I assume she’s the protagonist, is just so plain and generic. Hope it gets better soon.
