Een poll op social media heeft geen enkele waarde, zegt niets. Politici die conclusies trekken op basis van zo'n poll zijn ofwel charlatans, ofwel statistisch of digitaal analfabeet. Je wordt er zo moe van van die kleutertuin.

@jdceulaer U begrijpt het volgens mij ook niet. Terwijl het spotten met symbolen van religie x achteloos gebeurt worden die van religie y als no-go zone behandeld. Dat StuBru dit uitlegt in termen van respect en de angst onbenoemd laat is de hypocrisie waar het om draait.

NIETS begrijp je ervan, als je zo reageert. Het punt is niet dat je religies niet mag bespotten (natuurlijk mag dat!), het punt is dat je álle religies moet (durven te) bespotten. Toch logisch.

De denkfout die de VRT in deze reactie maakt, doet echt pijn aan de ogen, hoor. 🙈

@jdceulaer Toch wel een sign of the times dat de 3 uithangborden van Studio *Brussel* hagelwit zijn. Wat is eigenlijk de reden waarom zo weinig diversiteit zijn weg vindt naar progressieve jongerenzenders en krantenredacties?

De argumenten die deze @stubru presentatoren in deze op tafel leggen zijn gewoonweg belachelijk. Maar in hun eigen bubbeltje levert het ze ongetwijfeld punten op. Áls rock 'n roll ooit al "gevaarlijk" was, bij Studio Brussel is het allemaal geposeer geworden.

@smet_karen @barteeckhout Ik zou op zijn minst zeggen dat de terroristen er in geslaagd zijn iets permanents te wijzigen in onze samenleving. Iets dat ons minder vrij heeft gemaakt. Banger. @peterdedecker De cocktail: 1) Media hebben weinig oog voor structureel positieve tendensen, en dekken graag gebreken van links beleid in België toe (ondanks de armoedetol) 2) Toenemende historische ongeletterdheid. 3) Opvrijen van conservatieve Islamitische gemeenschap door extreem links.

Ondanks dit soort spraakmakende verhalen en de communistische dictatoriale geschiedenis die gegarandeerd alle welvaart en vrijheid kapotmaakt, hebben we opnieuw communisten in ons parlement en peilen ze als grootste partij in Brussel, de hoofdstad van Europa. Waanzin gewoon.

Hier is de situatie allicht nog erger, een gevolg van te veel misbegrepen overheidsbemoeienis (de loonnormwet met stip), te veel regulering en administratie (cfr zowat elk OESO rapport), een de facto afschrikkingsbeleid voor buitenlands talent. We houden onszelf graag klein.

Kritiek op de macht, en dus zeker de N-VA en BDW, is broodnodig. Maar na de lof die BDW oogstte met de zaak Euroclear stonden er toch ook wel een paar te trappelen totdat BDW eens een aangebrande uitspraak zou doen alla "relaties met Rusland na duurzame vredesgesprekken".

🚨In 1700s, French mathematician Georges-Louis Leclerc took a needle, a wooden floor, and a question that sounds almost childishly simple. If you drop a needle randomly onto a surface ruled with parallel lines, and the needle's length equals the distance between those lines, what are the odds it crosses one of them? The answer is 2 divided by pi. No circles anywhere in that experiment. No curves, no arcs, no radii. Just a straight needle falling onto straight lines through pure chance. And pi crawls out of the probability like it was hiding there the entire time, waiting for someone to ask the right question. Mathematicians call this Buffon's Needle, and it remains one of the most conceptually violent results in the history of probability. You can physically recreate it on your kitchen floor. Drop a needle 500 times, count the crossings, divide, and you will approximate pi to several decimal places through nothing but randomness and straight lines. The circle was never in the room. Pi showed up anyway. This is what separates pi from every other mathematical constant. It doesn't stay inside its original context. It migrates. Euler discovered it hiding inside the sum of the reciprocals of all squared integers, a problem involving no geometry whatsoever. The Gaussian bell curve that governs how errors distribute in measurements, how heights vary in a population, how quantum particles spread across space, carries pi in its foundation even though the curve itself was never constructed from a circle. Physicist Eugene Wigner wrote a paper in 1960 that never got the mainstream attention it deserved. He called it "The Unreasonable Effectiveness of Mathematics in the Natural Sciences." His central bewilderment was precisely this pattern: mathematical structures developed in complete abstraction, with zero intention of describing physical reality, keep turning out to be the exact language the universe was already using before anyone looked. Pi is his strongest case. It wasn't engineered to fit physics. It was found already fitted, in places nobody thought to look for it, in systems that share nothing geometrically with a circle. The needle doesn't know about circles. The universe apparently does.

Zoals iedereen weet valt het vergrijzingsprobleem en pensioenprobleem op te lossen zonder dat iemand dan ook zijn gedrag zal moeten aanpassen. Koude politici die recht in het gezicht van de bevolking anders beweren zijn dus evil. En de anderen zijn warm en solidair. Simpel.
