@linkkling I pretty much only won with my Wartortle because Raichu ran out of PP for Shock Wave and started using Quick Attack that did minimal damage lol
OK it was unfair for my own fault, and I love the older games for that, but it was frustrating still

@linkkling Sometimes people need to remember that the older games are just somewhat unfair sometimes lmao.
Like the other day, I was struggling against Lt. Surge and his Raichu that LOVES to use Double Team, and I didn't have any Ground moves or Pokemon 😭

i'm so sick of the "you used rare candies to beat brock" slander btw. literally all i did was use them to match a second catch to my bulbasaur's level and then i beat brock with just bulbasaur! i didn't even use the second mon! and then i took it off my team because i felt bad!

@linkkling Dexit sucks, but like I'm always the kind of guy to just build a new team using the Pokemon that are in the game.
And if I were a competitive player, that would also give me an idea of which new Pokemon are good and how to utilise them better too

"but i wanna transfer my old teams into the new games!!" first of all alola did this perfectly. shiny charm on regional dex but transfers available for everything is awesome. but also i've literally only ever been dexit blocked like one time so. it's really not that important imo

i genuinely don't think dexit has negatively impacted me in any game? if anything it just made the shiny charm more manageable and fun to get i've never wanted to use a specific pokemon in a specific game THAT badly. i just use a new team in each game based on what's available

Competitive Pokemon players are so ass at defending themselves, that even if they make a good point, they still gotta attack oomf for not playing their way

TPC isn't going to focus on the competitive side first and foremost with every game

@linkkling People play Pokémon games from anywhere for 500-1000 hours
The story takes like 20-30 hours now. Maybe 50 if you take your time
The rest of the time is spent team building and battling for multiplayer and raids

I mean did that really warrant the backlash THAT much? Best argument there was was at least previous gens had the sprites or models, but that was a different argument for the NatDex

SwSh have their problems but the NatDex discourse in particular was one of the dumbest controversies I’ve ever seen. Like I get being disappointed but with how many mons are added each game it had to happen sooner or later. Glad we’re mostly past it now but man
