@lamartheo @cdrafrica What work have they been doing to deserve salaries? The people who board these train will pay for these services and the staff will get paid through that but they’re not providing any service so how and why should they be paid?
English

@cdrafrica Pay the workers please. They’ve go almost a year without salary.
English

@cdrafrica @kwesi_hyde At this point we know we blacks can’t manage our own affairs let’s agree and find a nice way to hand over some parts of our economy to the whites to manage and develop to the highest level for us!
English

@weloveghana042 Maintenance issues will arise cox we don’t maintain anything well in Ghana!!
If people were to travel across Ghana they would appreciate these little things! People think Ghana is just Accra. More if these tricycles should be made available to the deprived areas! Maintain them!
English

@SirErnest3 @Citi973 You re just a fool for thinking that way! Ever since Goldfields has been mining what has been your gain all the money they get goes to their foreign investors! Did u hear the local banks have invested millions? You are just a fool!
English

The president's brother is being given the whole country's concession. Come on! There were many ordinary Ghanaian business men Who bid for the same but were denied.
These things are happening under NDC because Rawlings is not alive?
It couldn't have happened.
John Mahama just listed his name among shameless corrupt African leaders.
English

“We want to prove to Ghanaians that we can do it,” says Ibrahim Mahama, CEO of Engineers and Planners, after the takeover of the Damang Mine.
He pledged major investments, including a concrete road from Damang to Cape Coast within two years and an airport within six months, assuring host communities of social and economic development.

@ghpolitical @Kafui_one @Citi973 You are an idiot! Ask urself what the assembly or community has gained since white man mined Gold for many years. Som of u are just fools and wish u were the one who had the opportunity selfish idiots!
English

@Kafui_one @Citi973 He lacks the fiscal discipline to that. And that’s our problem as a nation because anybody who talks against him is an enemy now that his brother is the president. All the things he is talking about will not be sustainable b’cos the assembly or comm. is not involved in planning.
English

@zyselo @joyce_bawah I agree. But to say the soil type in Accra is the reason we can’t do subway in therefore inaccurate! Every other thing I agree with you
English

@GhHomeSweetHome @joyce_bawah Expensive.
The tunnel between UK and France was more practical than building a bridge. And they have the money.
English

Each time I travel to other slightly more transport resilient cities, I feel lethargic, knowing that our beloved Ghana needs such interventions, a modally complimentary transport system.
A modern, well designed system that is cost effective and efficient. The world Bank has been positing since 2011, that for Ghana to achieve its full middle income status, the country will have to improve upon transportation.
I am delighted like many others that at Least President John Mahama is focusing on what we already have- improving transport infrastructure especially the roads through the Big Push investment. Now we must look at water transport, our lakes, our rivers, landing sites, railways at least maybe a tram service or an overground train service just to improve mobility and ease congestion. I have recently come across a young woman on SM currently sharing some wonderfully interesting ideas on how to improve transportation in Ghana.
My only point of disagreement is that yes we do need options to road transport but for now we need safer and more motor-able roads. This will save us money, cut travel time, reduce commuter fares and stress reduce road congestion and crashes.
We certainly deserve and need better roads but it is time to consider some serious alternatives to travel by road.

English

@zyselo @joyce_bawah There’s a tunnel built under sea connecting France to the UK. So end ur primary one argument that the soil type in Accra is not good for subways! We all agree tho that we need railway infrastructure! But stop that your other argument Tks
English

@joyce_bawah Unfortunately the soil type in Accra is not good for subways. Meaning it will cost about 3 times as much to construct the same thing here as in London. Due to ground water , soil nature and lack of hard rock, mostly of keeping the tunnels drained amd reduce flooding.
English

@FelixKwakyeOfo1 Invest in train ports!! Build rail lines that goes to the airport! That’s what we are asking for and modernizing the airport just like that.
What are our priorities? What’re govt plans and vision for railways in Ghana?
English

Since 2013, The Ghana Airports Company Limited has implemented bold plans to modernise the Accra International Airport and develop Regional Airports.
This led to the construction of the 5-million-passenger-a- year Terminal 3 and the expansion and refurbishment of the arrival hall in Terminal 2.
In addition to the construction of a concourse to link Terminals 2 and 3, which is set to begin shortly, work had begun in late 2024 to further expand the arrival hall in Terminal 2.
In 2025, the scope of works was expanded to include the departure hall which had not seen any renovation for over 20 years, and the entire frontage of Terminal 2 to give it a new look.
This has now become a much wider scope to comprehensively address moving not only regional airlines but some international airlines from Terminal 3 to Terminal 2 for decongestion during peak travel hours when passenger volumes are quite high resulting in long queues.
Accordingly the works for Terminal 2 is ongoing and are scheduled to be completed within this year.
This what Terminal 2 will look like when work is completed.

English

@KAgbodza Also ensure the team who are always patching our roads use asphalt and stop using those gravels mixed with bitumen! It’s annoying!!
We like doing shoddy work!
English

@FelixKwakyeOfo1 Politics nti it won’t be a sustainable thing for us!!
Same way we used Ghana money for I start E-blocks, Agenda 111 etc that have all been left to rot! We are not correct as human beings!
English

@DVLAGhofficial I blame you on this. Tie individual DV plates to their dvla online accounts(email/phone number/Ghana card): since they don’t want to license the cars, make DV more expensive than standard registration renewal every year. Let them buy insurance and do road worthy for them. Finito

DVLA and MTTD intensify enforcement on 2025 DV plates and expired DP stickers!
