As an #slp2b on hospital placement, I spend a lot of time googling medical abbreviations and definitions. Today’s #WordOfTheDay? 'Expectorate' - to eject from the throat or lungs by coughing or hawking and spitting. Has anyone else learnt a new word today?

Observed my first #VFSS/#MBS today! I was very surprised at how fast paced the environment was, and how the SP suggested different maneuvers/strategies for the client to perform whilst doing the #VFSS. I found this article to be good revision before going in! #slp2b #GoSHspeech

Can’t wait for #SPweek2022. The fact that so many Australians live with a communication disability (which is very often invisible) highlights the crucial need for education, inclusivity and equitable access to services for all.
