🥳 A Decade of Destiny: Celebrating 10 Years of Publishing! ✍️ Ten years ago, on November 24th, 2015, I hit 'Publish' on @AmazonKDP for my first book, Abhaya. I had little idea that the next ten years would unfold into a journey of deep fulfillment, learning, incredible friendships, and institution building. This journey wasn't without its challenges. Back in 2013, I was ready to give up writing after hitting a hard wall with the publishing world. But a moment of sheer grace— @narendramodi ji following me on Twitter—filled me with the deepest sense of inspiration. It was a profound call to not give up, but to strive to be worthy and contribute meaningfully to our civilizational narrative beyond just political opinionating. The Milestones & Mentors The First Spark: The roller coaster began. I finished the final draft of Abhaya with my editor, Vrinda Baliga, and together we launched it ten years ago. A Divine Blessing - Sri Hari Vadlamani and @IndicaOrg : Gods send blessings when the endeavor is worthy, and that blessing in my life was Sri Hari Vadlamani and INDICA (then Indica Book Club). INDICA became a second family, a sanctuary, a platform, and an incubator/accelerator to my writing (@yoginisd @dimplekaul_in @SaamaanyaJ and the rest of you!) The Launchpad: It was Hari ji’s encouragement and a huge order that gave me the courage to invest in the print run of Abhaya (the one you see in the picture!). That’s where the journey truly took off. Other Blessings: Deep gratitude to @ISKCONBangalore for including me in many of their blessed initiatives. The Next Chapter: Book after book, platform after platform found me. I am deeply grateful to @Rupa_Books, who contacted me and have since published the three books on the top row (with a fourth one signed up!). Shout out to @BloomsburyIndia for taking up my self published books and elevating them for a larger audience. The Kind Voices, Awards & Sacred Stages. I remember with overwhelming gratitude the celebrities who gave a kind shoutout when I was a nobody: Late Sri @bibekdebroy da, @authoramish, @sanjeevsanyal, @gchikermane and Advaita Kala. The Words Count Pune edition, Advaita, was my first public platform—a memory forever cherished! I am honoured and grateful to @sankaratvonline for awarding me the prestigious Stree Shakthi Award. Thank you to @thinkindiaorg and associated organizations for promoting my books and platforming my thoughts. The stages I've stood on are sacred to me: Words Count, @mlrlitfest, @GhatsLitFest, @PondyLitFest @KhajurahoLit, @kalingalitfest and the @studentlitfest. Every dais experience has been a gift. The Amplifiers: Journalists & Podcasters A heartfelt thank you to the Journalists and Celebrities who gave shoutouts and invited me to panels on your channels. And to the wonderful Podcasters who opened up the digital doors to the online world! Specifically, I cherish the opportunities given by: @mahagathe @AwaraMusafir18 @_TMYS_ @urbanpandits ...and all others who amplified my thoughts! The Brotherhood of Writers To my incredible writer friends—the whole army of you—who are a source of constant encouragement and inspiration: @ShefVaidya, @ARanganathan72 @KoralDasgupta, @nandinisgTOI, @MayureshDidolkar, @ArunKrishnan_ @nkgrock @Aabhas24 Vineet Aggarwal, @deepakmrd27 @singhsahana @SahanaVijay , @adite Sudeshna Ghosh, @preethivenu and all those I am sure I have inadvertently missed: thank you for the enduring friendships! My Foundational Pillars Every sentence I write here reminds me that I am in no way a 'self-made' writer, but a fortunate one, blessed by each of you. Guru & Bhagawan: Satya Sai Baba, for laying the foundations of the Glory of Bharat through Balavikas, which resulted in my 'spiritually privileged' upbringing. For inspiring Seva that kept me grounded. For everything else that I cannot express My Husband Arvind: My standing 24/7 inspiration. Thank you for the immense support and for being the rock-solid pillar to my creative and emotional side. My Family: Amma and Naanna, you are my foundation—from whatever knowledge of Itihasa-Puranas I accumulated to enabling vigorous thinking and seeking while remaining grounded. Thank you to my Aunts, Uncles for being there when I needed them the most, and Cousins (my first story-telling guinea pigs!). And Grandparents are the best! Colleagues: A special mention to those at @ChanakyaUni where the very fulfilling stint enabled me to write about four books! Above All: The Readers! We writers don't exist without you. Especially those early readers on social media who bought, reviewed, and promoted me when I was just starting, and to everyone who has picked up a book since: thank you for believing in my stories. Here's to the next chapter of writing and learning together! 🙏
