Edge= Win Rate x Avg Win Odds - (1 - Win Rate) If you don’t bet, you can’t win. If you lose all your chips, you can’t bet. It is easier to run slow than fast.

What started off as a hobby project has now become an operational web app for Indian racing, thanks to, of course AI. …ru-terminal-ghodekinaal.streamlit.app Today's password: Test Tracks, injuries, equipment changes, etc has not been quantified and is not a part of the Ratings.

@MohammadSa80630 It can only be done manually. Play the video frame by frame. Stop at the post marker, record the time. Subtract from the finish time and you will get the sectional time. It's a tedious process and there are no shortcuts.

After a month of posting on the app, now that we have the seasonal break, here's the performance report for the 2 strategies. The journal was updated on the website too. Total racedays = 26 Total races covered = 173 (few races for maiden 3y olds were skipped due to lack of data)

@WhatsinN Fair odds is my line odds generated by the system. Anything equal to or above that is value. For example take the last race both Bold Indian & Photograph rated around 4/1 but offered odds were 1.3 and 6 so in true value Bold Indian is a no bet whereas Photograph is a bet.

@GhodeKiNaal 43.9% strike rate with an average odds of almost 2/1 is quite impressive, better than the perceived threshold of 33%, hope the system will be able to hold on current SR in the upcoming season

Saw the proposed layout of Central Park to be built at Mahalakshmi racecourse. Beyond ridiculous to build an underground sports complex underneath the existing racetrack. It will end up damaging the track and hence unsafe for horses. Let's hope better sense prevails 🙏🏻

A single 1100m race for the season. Just to check if the gates can be correctly positioned between the 1000 and 1200 🤷🏻‍♂️

2 - I am not privy to any inside info. But all inside info get reflected in the odds. Our bookies are the best handicappers. They too get it wrong sometimes like say 20% of the time. So when you see a big mismatch that race should be ideally left alone

There are 2 possible reasons. 1 - My ratings could be wrong. Speed ratings in India is a work of art than math or science because of the authenticity of the data. I may get 80% of the ratings right but will also be wrong 20% of the time. Also speed ratings are good upto a mile

@WhatsinN on ratings yes with the 5 kg handicap it will come out on top but it all boils down to how the apprentice handles the horse which is quite unpredictable

@Imrahulpawale The final ratings do include an element of the pace matchup. However, a pace map should always be seen in isolation to find which horses will benefit most from the run of the race. Quantifying a scenario into ratings will always be subjective

Lot of questions for Pace Map. Stop guessing how the race will unfold Ashwa Guru's tactical pace map automatically categorizes the race—from "Lone Early" to "Fast/Contested"—so you know exactly who gets the perfect trip. Full 3-minute video breakdown in the reply below! 👇

Facts continue to suffer rough handling when they collide with enthusiasm unaccompanied by knowledge. Shiven Surendranath, presently a marketing voice on the RWITC Committee, appears to treat them as optional accessories rather than compulsory equipment. Let us revisit the basics. The RWITC itself requested that I design and run the website. The arrangement was explicit. We handled the platform for four racing seasons and were paid ₹35,000 per month only during the active racing months. When racing stopped, the payments stopped. It was seasonal work tied to the racing calendar, not some mythical windfall that seems to exist only in Mr. Surendranath’s imagination. Yet he now quotes inflated figures with impressive confidence. One is left wondering whether this new arithmetic emerged from ignorance or from a place where numbers acquire… flexible interpretations. The website was entrusted to me after local vendors struggled because turf administration is not merely about building pages but understanding racing. Credit to Avinash, then head of the marketing committee, who recognised that domain knowledge mattered and reposed confidence in me. The interface may have evolved over time, as all technology does, but the core architecture and functionality remain exactly what was originally built. The allegation about racing videos is equally theatrical. The links merely direct users to footage already placed in the public domain. The RWITC had given written permissionfor these links. We never claimed the videos as our property. We simply ensured the racing public could find them. Of course, it is always easier to shout than to verify. And since Mr. Surendranath seems so enthusiastic about moral lectures, a small reminder about optics may help. He is indeed an elected committee member, but he chose not to serve as a steward, apparently because his betting interests made that role inconvenient. Quite a curious arrangement for someone so eager to sermonise about propriety. But then again, when facts are uncomfortable, imagination becomes a very convenient substitute.
