The American intelligence assesses that the U.S. has destroyed only about one-third of Iran’s missile stockpile. According to Reuters, the condition of another third of the missiles is unclear, but the assessment is that the American strikes caused significant damage and may have destroyed some of them. The report does not specify whether it refers only to long-range ballistic missiles or also short-range ones, nor how many missiles the Israeli Air Force destroyed. According to the IDF, Iran launched about 500 missiles at Israel. Most of them intercepted. Military Intelligence estimates that before the war Iran had around 2,500 ballistic missiles. In short, the report does not clarify how many ballistic missiles Iran still has. Based on all this, I would venture my own rough estimate that it has fewer than 1,000. Taking into account the current launch rate of 10–15 per day, against Israel, its stockpile would last, in my estimation (after accounting for missiles that will be destroyed), about 5–6 weeks. However, the key factor for launch capability is the number of launchers remaining - and that is an unknown figure. The American intelligence assessment contradicts statements made yesterday by Trump, who claimed that Iran has “very few missiles” left. According to him, about 90% of Iran’s missile launchers and more than 90% of its missile stockpile have been destroyed so far.
