She showed the clip. And she responded to the clip. I just brought up that fact because she had her own spin to it, Gore is right in a sense, and he is wrong in a sense. The doc was alarmist, I ain’t denying that at all. I did watch the film, and I know all about it. I don’t like when people try to spin shit without getting every detail correct. I got annoyed because she made it seem like sea levels should be 20ft higher right now, which is not what the clip was saying. Propaganda on both sides, the human emotion gets tied up into this BS all the time, everyone has a motive to prove their point.

No, you obviously didn’t watch the movie. Or playing stupid. Or in most cases just pretending what was said wasn’t actually said. The “IF” was what the planet would look like if we didn’t IMMEDIATELY act. And we only had 20 years or the “IF” was what the planet WOULD look like. She didn’t even play the best parts of that propaganda trash. Do you know what happens when you try to bring this movie up or these predictions to the people who used to spit this bullshit like the gospel? They change the subject, lie, or in some cases emotionally break down.

Al Gore just said “none of the predictions from the past 20 years have been wrong from climate scientists.” This inspired me to go back and watch the classic An Inconvenient Truth. Upon rewatch it was worse than I remember!

@Adam_C_Kelley @LLBiggers Yes, the glaciers break up and go into the ocean. It’s difficult to picture centuries, easier to ignore the future. It’s common, and normal, especially trying to imagine time that spans beyond the average human life.
