I have no intention to sound sinophobic, but I can’t deny to my Japanese ears Mandarin Chinese can sound a little… harsh? It has a lot of fricative consonants that stand out loudly. I find the sound of Cantonese more pleasant, but it’s merely my preference anyway.

@MD_Chaos4 The beam resistance was to explain why beam weapons were phased out entirely that they’re not effective combat weapons. I guess more expansion on the Calamity war could better show that but I think Hashmal explains most if not all the quirks in MS combat

IBO was a weird series looking back in regards to the use of weapons, the first gundam series to not use any beam weapons and the MS had beam resistance armor, but they didn’t do anything with that so it ended up just being generic or uninteresting.

They struggled to give Goku a definitive leitmotif because it was first the melody of Makafushigi Adventure, but it ceased to be the opening theme. Kikuchi continued to use Makafushigi until DBZ Movie 2, and then kept giving him multiple different leitmotifs since Movie 3.
