@PaulLivo Brother. No one with a brain that’s been playing since gow1 wants the absolute abhorrent bouncing that came from tu6 gow2 and even more ludicrous gow3-5. Strafe and the occasional bounce is great. Wall cancel is trash.

Seen the claims that E-Day will not have legacy bouncing, this comes after a literal decade of players requesting a Gears 3 style PvP I still believe the game will be brilliant, the PvP may still be brilliant. But I wanted to purchase a Gears game and with all of these changes, it will not be "Gears" Cancelled my Pre-Order and will just play the campaign on Gamepass for a month when it comes out Ah well, could've been what I'd been hoping for but i'm used to it now

@RZetsua @PaulLivo Gow2 wasn’t played the crack head way. Gow2 was HEAVILY strafe based specially on lan.

@PaulLivo I wouldn't be opposed to getting rid of wall cancel and return back to G1, but it would be sad. I love the skill expression of G2 and 3. I just hope that the game doesn't become too easy or still have a high skill ceiling.

HOT TAKE Gears E-Day looks brilliant and TC are getting huge praise for it, which is well deserved It appears that the main concern lots of people have is the uncertainty as to whether or not the game has regular wall bouncing / wall cancel I think to solidify the hype and trust, also to settle the uncertainty, I think TC would really be making a good decision by clarifying what players should expect in regards to this topic. This would remove the speculation and would encourage more players to be more excited if it's confirmed that the game will actually have the mechanical design that they're hoping

It was not milliseconds, but MANY SECONDS. He had the opportunity to step aside. The car was turning away. His life was not in danger for a second. But he draw weapon with the intention TO KILL. Because he fired 3 shots FROM THE SIDE. The guy is a killer. And dont come to me with your psychopath reasoning that "always do what the cop tells you or the cop will kill you". That is NOT policing. I can understand when a cop kills in self defense, because the "respond with equal force" is a bullshit. But in this case there was no real danger to the cop. He used his weapon to KILL in the "you will be arrested dead or alive" wild west style.

THE WHEELS ARE FULLY TURNED AWAY FROM THE OFFICER. Watch in SLOW MO. No intention IMO to hit anyone. Sole intention based on wheel/steering wheel to LEAVE the scene NOT A THREAT. Look at the wheel.

Done, not paying that for 1 specific game that's utterly terrible anyway MAYBE i'll resub when they reduce the price AND make a game worth my money

@TerryHB_ @Gears_Intel will never be a gears with ue editor unfortunately. Nor will coalition ever put real effort in. try to appease everyone which turns to no one. As for lobby browser I agree. But again, doubt it’ll happen. Need to bring back og gow leaderboards that show everything not just points

@Gears_Intel It will never succeed on PC if they keep treating the platform like a 2nd class Citizen. They need to embrace modded content, lobby browsers, and full PC controls. They're holding themselves back. This "definitive edition" has less features than the 2007 port!

@PaulLivo @TerryHB_ Coalition has tried to cater to the masses even for gow4 which imo wasn’t a good game either but was absolutely better than 5. If you try to appeal to everyone you end up appealing to no one. Even ue isn’t a true remaster/same with reloaded. Lots of mechanics removed/changed.

Gears 5 tried to cater to people who would rather sit and Lancer, who camped and didn't like bouncing That resulted in a middle ground that still had broken bouncing, which people who dislike bouncing didn't like due to it still existing... That people who did like bouncing didn't like because it felt terrible In the end, it appealed to nobody and it failed. This is something I've been saying for many years This lack of wall cancel style just doesn't seem to be the popular side of that middle ground

Really hope Gears of War Reloaded isn't a drop once and forget it sort of thing. Has so much potential for more, it deserves more in my opinion!

Sorry but it's nostalgia The vast majority of people do not like that style of mechanics and the excuses for why UE didn't last long are just people in denial It was a fantastic game for 2006, its potential peaked in 2006 and those who think that style of game is what Gears needs are the people who are partly responsible for its decline
