Studying the forces and the dynamics behind cell motility and adhesion. We dabble a lot with super-resolution microscopy and single particle tracking.

Excited to share our new paper "Actin-driven nanotopography promotes stable integrin adhesion formation in developing tissue". rdcu.be/dWie7 We study the single molecule dynamics of integrin adhesion proteins in developing Drosophila embryonic muscle attachment.

The @GiannoneLab and the Nassoy Lab have open positions for postdocs at the University of Bordeaux. The goal of the project is to understand at the molecular level integrin adhesions and actin protrusions in cancer cells migrating in 3D cellular assemblies: organoids, spheroids.

11/n - Our results thus indicate that forces exerted by elongation of individual actin filaments on WRC increase its turnover, operating as a mechanical negative feedback on Arp2/3 activation and thus cell migration.

10/n – WRC crosslinking, using the extracellular handle, reduces the ability of actin elongation forces to remove WRC from the lamellipodium tip, resulting in an increased WRC dwell time and higher Arp2/3 activity, enhanced polymerization and more effective migration.
