Patrick winning those 2 Super Bowls with no WR/RB weapons was a double edged sword. It’s given the vast majority of this fanbase a baseline stance of “Mahomes doesn’t need weapons” to succeed. Instead of giving Mahomes his own force multipliers at RB, TE, and WR, they’ve just required Patrick to be the only force multiplier on the offense. It’s not only a terrible way to construct an offense but it also makes your franchise QB’s job infinitely harder.
