GIBSIDE (SEN) handover today! Delivered on SCAPE Framework and despite covid, truly AMAZING achievements: 89% Local labour (9.4% Gateshead) & 95% Local spend (within 40 miles); 22 work experience opportunities; 23 educational visits and 224 engaged in employability workshops.

We finally have our new school! We arrived this morning and had the keys handed over with representatives from @WatesGroup, the Local Authority (Julia & @watto1974) and David, our Chair of Governors. We can't wait to welcome all of our wonderful pupils & staff, they will love it!

After 23 years at Whickham and almost 7 years at Blaydon, we waved our children off for the last time. We were all very emotional but also excited to begin our new journey at our fabulous new site. Thanks to our local communities for making us feel welcome, we will miss you!

Proud of our work with HMP Northumberland providing prisoners with opportunities after serving their sentence. Our programme provided training and mentoring to prepare them for life outside. Part of our work on @GibsideSchool in #Gateshead procured via @Scape_Group #teamscape

We are sorry to inform you that school will be closed to pupils tomorrow. From Tuesday we will only be open to vulnerable children and those whose parents are key workers. We will let those families know tomorrow who can attend. We apologise for this late change of plan

We had so many plans to work with Wates during our new build but COVID stopped them. They have continued to support us and after a collection from the site team they delivered goodies for the children and a substantial cash donation (over £230)to us today. Thank you! @WatesGroup
