*sigh* Em dashes in writing do not mean it’s AI. Some people just write with them. Some people love them. Some people have evidence they’ve written with them since at least 4th grade. Use of the em dash doesn’t belong to AI— & we can’t give it up, because then it might.

When my father passed away almost 8 years ago - I was honoured to have held him in my arms as he took his final breaths- stepping out from that hospital room from the 96 hour bedside vigil was hard -in a single breathe the axis of my world shifted - yet the outside world never skipped a beat. I had been shocked by the enormity of death and the dying process. Yesterday as my mother passed away I sought comfort in knowing the world didn't skip a beat. I'd fully accepted her pending death, visualised every aspect of it (my #2e mind) I'd originally cried at time of her late/end stage IVC cancer diagnosis - having time to process my emotions and pending loss - I bawled my eyes out as I cleaned my home and processed my mum’s cancer trajectory - I compartmentalised everything in order to work on keeping my thoughts and emotions to me, and not bleed them out onto others #radicalEmpathy #healthyDetachment #AnticipatoryGrief - yesterday when I saw and heard my mum as her body fought it's last breaths - I could see that her soul/spirit had already unfurled itself and what was left was merely the sacred container that carried her through life. Waking this morning on Sunday 24th May - I feel deep compassion and relief that my Mum’s (Mary) struggle is over - it's not RIP mum, but rather Soar far and wide - beyond your wildest imagination - hopefully you meet up with Dad and your three beautiful children who went before you (three of my nine siblings)
