It was definitely not as cool to support PSG back then. I genuinely thought the 2008 Coupe de la Ligue win might be the last trophy we sniffed for years.
Ironically, the 07/08 home & away kits have become two of my favorite historical PSG kits. I find them oddly sentimental considering how far the club has come since then.

This era is for every PSG fan who knows (or even witnessed) what happened in Montbéliard on May 17, 2008.
If you know the name Amara Diané, you deserve all the success we've had ❤️💙

How PSG supporters who stayed through the club’s darkest years are acting right now.

*Traces Of Texas Tech*
Willie Nelson in a late 80s Texas Tech jersey during his 1988 concert at Jones Stadium.
The performance was a special benefit show to raise scholarship funds for Texas Tech football.
Nelson would return to Jones AT&T Stadium in 2009 with Bob Dylan and John Mellencamp for “The Bob Dylan Show.” That night marked the first concert at the stadium since his 1988 appearance — and the last one until George Strait took the stage in 2026.

**Traces Of Texas Tech**
A photo of Ex-Beatle Paul McCartney leaping in the air in a 1980s Gabe Rivera Era Texas Tech football jersey.
Despite years of searching, I've dug up surprisingly little information about how the image came to be. It appears to have been shot as a promotional photo for a tour in the mid-to-late 1980s, based on the style of the jersey. While some fans have claimed Paul’s wife Linda took the picture, most sources credit renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz.
The background skyline has always looked like Dallas to me, though I’ve never found confirmation of the exact location. As for the jersey itself, accounts differ: some say it was a gift from a fan, while others claim McCartney specifically requested it.
Most likely, he wore it as a quiet tribute to Lubbock—the hometown of one of his greatest heroes, Buddy Holly.
McCartney didn’t make an official visit to Lubbock until his 2014 concert at the United Supermarkets Arena. That said, locals have told me he made a private trip to West Texas while working on the film The Real Buddy Holly Story, stopping by Buddy’s grave. It’s very possible he picked up the jersey during that unpublicized visit.
A cool, slice of Texas Tech lore intersecting with rock-and-roll royalty.

@dabblindoofus When he was looking for his motorcycle title recently, he found crumpled newspaper articles from the Stern days that he couldn't wait to share on camera. Yet he still won't produce a degree or any other tangible evidence of his NYU days. Anyone can pay for custom-made rings.
