Unexpectedly ended up in hospital with my eldest last night. After tough few weeks of graft, it wasn’t the start to annual leave i’d hoped for. But the warmth and generosity of that cramped waiting room of anxious parents was really humbling…

Additionally, @AvantiWestCoast the two additional train-loads of people on this service are able to receive a refund, but what of those of us who are on our rightful service but now have no access to our reserved seats? Are we eligible for a refund?

@AvantiWestCoast (2/2) I’m displaced at which point, because I value the premise of reservations, I shall vacate to allow its rightful passenger their booking.

@AvantiWestCoast (1/2) I fully appreciate the context. It’s just not a credible response to displace those on their scheduled service - why not encourage those who are additional to locate ‘free’ seats instead of displacing everyone, especially those who can’t move stealthily? I have a seat until

@AvantiWestCoast You realise when you ‘declassify’ a train, removing pre-bookings, you create literal barriers to access for people with mobility issues, leaving them to argue with people who have reached their reserved seat before them. Bad practice, terrible service.
