Our CAR-T Open Evening attracted referrers and health staff from across Cheshire and Merseyside, all keen to learn more about this pioneering cancer treatment. The event last night included a tour and talks about current treatments, what's coming next and cutting-edge research.

Clatterbridge has signed up the nation's first two patients for Phase II of a pioneering cancer vaccine clinical trial. We gave the UK's first Transgene experimental immunotherapy treatment in 2021 and are pleased to be leading on Phase II. See 👉 orlo.uk/2Obkk

CCC is the top UK recruiter in a huge six-year prostate cancer research study. Clatterbridge signed up 448 men to the PIVOTALboost clinical trial, led nationally by its Prof Isabel Syndikus, looking at different ways of giving radiotherapy. See: orlo.uk/nqNk6

Cancer research at Clatterbridge was celebrated yesterday at a conference to discuss different studies taking place across the Trust. There were updates on clinical research trials – including cancer vaccines, CAR T-cell therapy, blood cancer research and radiotherapy studies.

Clatterbridge will soon treat a patient with the world’s first cancer vaccine for lung cancer. The patient is on the BNT116 clinical research trial led by our Director of Clinical Research, Prof Christian Ottensmeier. Read more here 👉 orlo.uk/2WwUc
