There is a planned 9th character and other features, but due to likely burnout, underfunding, and extraneous financial situations, that's been put on hold indefinitely. The devs were asking about improvements and ideas in the discord a few weeks ago, however.

@realwubbiq That's what I use, its also what Pocket Rumble uses (what a coincidence). Lua can have class structure, just you need to use some of its less known features. I really like love2D, it has quite a lot of stuff built in without feeling bloated

does anyone have experience with love2d? was considering it but lua seems kinda annoying (I'm used to having classes/static types) I saw there's also stuff like moonscript that compiles to lua so was also considering that if I did go with love2d
