@hankgreen Sidenote: it's also just bad UX to have the "More" button like that. Small, dark, and floating on top of a candidate's box. Awful. I'd be worried about accidentally tapping the candidate and voting for Stein or whoever.

I mean, it's literally exactly what I said would happen:
1. Someone gets a ballot that randomly assigned the candidate they don't like at the top and the one they like at the bottom.
2. They run to Twitter with a photo about how the state in question is biased.
3. The tweet goes viral because people are outraged.
4. No one thinks for a moment to check how candidate order is actually determined (in CA it's randomized).
5. Suddenly a bunch of people have even less faith in systems than they had before.
IT'S THE INTERNET Y'ALL...IT IS A MONSTER THAT DEVOURS TRUST.

I wouldn't be surprised if the majority of people who have been in visa/residency/citizenship limbo worked ("illegally") in some way.

I think a good system of governance would be one where people can run on passing bills, pass those bills, and then be judged by voters accordingly.

I see a lot of pro-Harris accounts cheering her proposal to gut the Senate filibuster to pass a national abortion rights law. But remember: Gutting the filibuster would also make it a lot easier for Republicans to pass polarizing bills next time they have a Senate majority.
