@BHunterinBmore In my home state, for elementary, it is primarily taught by classroom/general ed teachers...when it's taught. State recommendation is 60 minutes per week. State COS standards are not being met/taught in my experiences.

@GingerAaron How often is health class supposed to be taught or actually taught? At my daughter’s school: -the district requires 36 lesson of health -the scheduling department approved a plan that they thought included 18 lessons -the school actually did 9 lessons

@GingerAaron I monitor progress through observation, visuals, self-assessment, and multiple entry points. Sometimes growth is skill. Sometimes it’s communication, confidence, teamwork, or independence. The goal isn’t perfection—it’s access, ownership, and growth for every student. #PhysEdQOTD

@GingerAaron I use a lot of 👨‍🎓 gathered data, it takes some time to get to the point that their data is accurate but it’s worth the investment. Sharing that data w/ families, especially via text & email, then takes just a few clicks and helps families see what we are doing and why it matters.
