This should be 4/4 IMO but we won’t complain with a profitable day 🍻 So many stinkers today mind… especially at York and over the jumps 🥶 I won’t be having any more bets on the jumps this season that’s for sure (unless there’s a whisper or a banker) and yeah, hopefully York is better for me tomorrow!

Wednesday's horse racing thread 🧵 York 2.20 Klassleader 9/4 (took 7/2) Yarmouth 2.40 Kinswoman 6/4 NEXT BEST York 2.55 Binhareer 4/1 York 4.05 Felicitas 11/4 Yarmouth 5.03 Staniel Cay 2/1 York 5.15 Master Builder 7/2 Bath 6.12 Darzah 5/6 NAP I tweeted about KLASSLEADER yesterday when he was 7/2 and he has been backed accordingly. This colt must have a great chance as the drop back to a mile and a half looks ideal and he has the size and scope to improve again as a 4yo. The yard are in great form now and I make him the one to beat. As you can tell I'm hoping Haggas has a big day as he has good horses running at every track today. KINSWOMAN is another one as she was hugely progressive towards the end of last season and can continue her progress here on return. She has loved dropping back to the minimum trip and isn't done improving yet. Another Haggas runner BINHAREER must have a great shout here. He was impressive over C&D on final outing and despite the rise in weights (fully warranted) can make a winning return here under Tom Marquand. His form has been well advertised and he clearly has lots going for him. I know Legacy Link is all the rage in the betting but I was at Sandown and was with FELICITAS when she won. She was a brutal drifter that day but went through the race like a good thing and ran out an impressive victor. She is 2-2 and her ceiling has by no means been reached yet so if she progresses again she looks a big danger to the favourite and I'm confident of a decent showing here. There was plenty to like about that win from STANIEL CAY at Nottingham. He has more to offer over 5f and if improving again here could defy the 7lb rise in the weights. David Egan takes over and this looks another good opportunity on paper. I put MASTER BUILDER up at 8/1 for talkSPORT and he has been one of the gambles of the day now into 7/2 and clear favourite. He is a horse that has always promised so much without quite delivering. He is still just a 5yo though and given a helping hand by the handicapper could bounce back in a big way here under Rossa Ryan. Dubawi filly DARZAH showed plenty on debut despite finishing nearer last than first. I just think inexperience got the better of her when asked to get involved but she did catch the eye somewhat in defeat. The form is decent as the winner So Regal has followed up and looks an exciting prospect. If she improves there won't be any excuses here as it is winnable and the main danger has a penalty and has to carry quite a big weight.

Wow Wow wow wow How has Ryan not won there on Always Happy?! Ran so wide after the last bend and didn’t seem to give max effort off the bridle the last furlong? Very, very frustrating watch that.

Thursday's horse racing thread 🧵 Chester 2.05 Donegal Rose 5/1 Chester 2.35 Constitution River 1/1 NAP Chester 3.05 Jan Brueghel 6/4 NEXT BEST Chester 3.40 King Of Thunder 8/1 Chester 4.45 Be The Standard 10/1 Redcar 7.20 El Matador 9/4 Redcar 7.50 Mohmentous 1/1 Quite a few unknowns in this and not a lot of form to go on but DONEGAL ROSE showed definite promise on debut and if she improves as expected she looks the one to beat. The yard won this 12 months ago with Tricky Tel and she looks their leading hope this time around with Oisin Murphy booked. I'm all over CONSTITUTION RIVER here. He was improving with experience when last seen getting off the mark at Galway and then following up convincingly in Group company at the Curragh. He has plenty of gears and now stretching out to a mile and a quarter I can't see how he doesn't complete the hat-trick. He has a lot of potential and should prove a cut above. I was at Epsom when JAN BRUEGHEL lowered the colours of Calandagan last year. That form looks even better now and with the yard in such good form I expect him to make a winning return here. He obviously lacks a run but has the class to beat these and comfortably too. There is a lot of pace on but I don't expect him to be too far off it and he should be the one finishing best under Ryan Moore. Mcmurray has been heavily backed and does look progressive but KING OF THUNDER appeals as being overpriced. I know they have always liked this horse and he made a winning start in handicap company when last seen at Haydock. They would have had this race in mind for him and he should run better than his price suggests as 8/1 is a bit insulting. With Mythical Bay likely to prove popular there is value elsewhere and BE THE STANDARD could surprise a few. He impressed winning at Thirsk on penultimate start and then had excuses when disappointing at Newcastle on final outing. He can do better this season and looks decent value to hit the frame at least. I thought EL MATADOR was given a bit of a shocker at Lingfield on return. Hector Crouch has been jocked off as a result and Hollie Doyle takes over which would be a positive. He goes back up to a mile and back on turf and if improving should take a lot of beating now. Even though MOHMENTOUS was keen at Bath he still managed to run out a convincing winner. He has more to come on what is just his sixth career start here (and only third in a handicap) and should justify his cramped odds against this field.

Seen some bad rides today and that was another one on Dearkeithandkaty. Close the gap and challenge for the lead. Don't wait when the leader is pushed along and then force yourself to have to come wide to challenge. Really poor from Jonjo.
